- 4 garlic cloves, chopped
- 4 cups fresh basil leaves, packed
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1⅓ cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1 cup grated Parmesan
Instructions
- In a food processor, pulse walnuts and garlic until chopped (10 sec). Add basil, salt, and pepper. Blend into a paste for about 1 min.
- With the motor running, slowly pour in olive oil until smooth. Add Parmesan and blend for 1 more minute.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, toast the walnuts before using.
