Description

Classic beef stuffed jumbo pasta shells filled with a savory beef and ricotta cheese mixture, baked in marinara sauce and topped with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. A comforting and satisfying Italian-American favorite!

  • 1 teaspoon

  • 1/4 teaspoon
  • Marinara Sauce:

  • 1 (25 ounce) jar
  • Ricotta Cheese:

  • 1 (15 ounce) container
  • Parmesan Cheese, grated:

  • 1/2 cup, plus more for topping
  • Egg:

  • 1 large, lightly beaten
  • Fresh Parsley, chopped:

  • 1/4 cup
  • Mozzarella Cheese, shredded:

Instructions

  1. Cook Pasta Shells: Cook pasta shells in salted boiling water, drain, and set aside.
  2. Sauté Onion, Garlic, and Beef: Sauté onion and garlic, add ground beef and seasonings, pour in half of the marinara sauce, simmer, and set aside.
  3. Prepare Cheese Mixture: Combine ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, and parsley in a bowl.
  4. Assemble Stuffed Shells: Fill each pasta shell with beef mixture, place in a baking dish.
  5. Bake: Top with remaining marinara sauce and cheeses, bake until bubbly and golden.
