Ingredients
Hearty Beefloaf Base
- 2 pounds ground beef
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ¼ cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
French Onion Magic
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup beef broth
Melty Swiss Topping
- 8 slices Swiss cheese
Instructions
- Mix Beefloaf Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently but thoroughly.
- Shape and Place: Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in the crockpot.
- Caramelize Onions: Melt butter in a pan, then cook sliced onions until golden. Add beef broth.
- Top Beefloaf: Spoon caramelized onions and broth over the beefloaf in the crockpot.
- Slow Cook: Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours until meatloaf is tender.
- Add Swiss Cheese: Before serving, layer Swiss cheese slices on top and let them melt.
- Serve: Serve warm with melted cheese and caramelized onions on top.
