Ingredients
Chow Mein Noodles:
- 1 lb fresh chow mein noodles
Vegetables:
- 2 cups thinly sliced cabbage
- 1 cup sliced celery
- 1 small onion, sliced
Noodle Sauce:
- 2 tbsp regular soy sauce
- ½ tbsp dark soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce or vegetarian stir-fry sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- ¼ cup low-sodium chicken stock or cold water
- ½ tbsp cornstarch or potato starch
Instructions
- Prepare Noodle Sauce: Combine all sauce ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
- Boil Noodles: Boil chow mein noodles for 20-30 seconds until loosened. Strain and set aside.
- Stir-Fry Vegetables: Sauté onions, cabbage, and celery in a pan with oil until softened.
- Add Noodles and Sauce: Push veggies aside, add more oil, then noodles and sauce. Toss until coated.
