Ingredients
Cookies:
- 21 ounces canned apple pie filling
- 15 ounces (1 twin pack) pre-made rolled pie crust
- ½ teaspoon apple pie spice
- 4 tablespoons caramel sundae syrup
- 1 large egg, at room temperature
- 1 tablespoon water, at room temperature
- 2 tablespoons white sparkling sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking sheet.
- Dice the apples: Dice the apples in the canned pie filling.
- Combine apples and spice: In a small mixing bowl, combine the diced apples and apple pie spice.
- Roll out pie crust: Roll out the first pie crust into a 12-inch circle.
- Prepare strips: Roll out the second pie crust and cut into strips.
- Cut out circles: Use a cookie cutter to cut out 12 circles of pie dough.
- Assemble cookies: Place pie dough circles on the baking sheet, add caramel syrup, apple filling, and create lattice tops.
