  • 1 tsp Yeast (Instant/Active dried yeast)

Glaze:

  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp Milk or Water

Instructions

  1. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a bowl, combine milk, sugar, salt, yeast, and egg.
  2. Add Butter and Flour: Mix in the softened butter and flour until a shaggy dough forms.
  3. Knead Dough: Transfer the dough to a clean surface and knead for 10-12 minutes.
  4. Rest Dough: Cover and let the dough rest for 15 minutes.
  5. Shape Doughnuts: Divide dough, shape into balls, and let rest for 15 minutes.
  6. Shape and Proof: Flatten dough balls, form into doughnut shapes, and proof for 35-40 minutes.
  7. Fry Doughnuts: Fry in hot oil until golden brown on both sides.
  8. Coat or Glaze: Coat with sugar or dip in glaze made of powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.
