Ingredients

- ½ cup water
Watermelon Puree:
- ½ medium-sized watermelon, cubed (approx. 6–7 cups)
Additional:
- ½ cup fresh lemon juice (about 2–3 large lemons)
- 3 cups water, divided
Instructions
- Make Simple Syrup: In a small saucepan, bring ½ cup water and sugar to a boil; simmer until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and cool.
- Puree Watermelon: Blend watermelon until smooth, then strain through a fine mesh sieve.
- Mix Ingredients: In a pitcher, combine watermelon puree, simple syrup, lemon juice, and water. Stir gently.
- Chill and Serve: Refrigerate until cold. Serve over ice, garnished with a watermelon wedge, if desired.
Notes
- If the drink separates, stir before serving.
- For a lighter version, use a sugar substitute.
- For a cocktail, add vodka or rum.
