Description

These Shrimp and Cream Cheese Wontons are crispy, creamy, and packed with shrimp, making them a delightful appetizer or snack for any occasion.


Ingredients

Wontons:

  • 12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 green onion, finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp sesame oil
  • 12 wonton wrappers
  • 1 egg, beaten (for sealing)
  • Vegetable oil, for frying

Dipping Sauce (optional):

  • Sweet chili sauce or soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Chop shrimp into small chunks and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, green onion, garlic, soy sauce, and sesame oil until smooth.
  3. Fold in chopped shrimp and mix well.
  4. Place a teaspoon of the mixture in the center of each wonton wrapper.
  5. Brush the edges with beaten egg and fold into a triangle or a pouch shape. Press to seal tightly.
  6. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium-high heat.
  7. Fry wontons in small batches until golden brown and crispy, about 2–3 minutes per side.
  8. Remove and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  9. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce!
