Description

This Slow Cooker Buffalo Chicken Macaroni & Cheese recipe combines the zesty flavors of buffalo sauce with creamy, cheesy macaroni for a delicious and comforting meal.


Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 1 ½ lb chicken breast
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • ½ cup buffalo wing sauce
  • 1 ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp mustard powder

For the Macaroni & Cheese:

  • 8 oz macaroni noodles
  • 4 TB unsalted butter
  • 2 TB flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar

Instructions

  1. Cook the Chicken: Place chicken breasts in the slow cooker. Add chicken broth, buffalo sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and mustard powder. Cook on low for 6 hours or until chicken is tender. Shred the chicken.
  2. Cook the Macaroni: Cook macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  3. Make the Cheese Sauce: In a saucepan, melt butter. Stir in flour and cook for 1-2 minutes. Slowly whisk in milk and cream until smooth. Add shredded cheddar and stir until melted.
  4. Combine: In the slow cooker, mix cooked macaroni, shredded chicken, and cheese sauce. Stir well to combine. Cook on low for an additional 30 minutes.
