Ingredients
Noodles:
- 8 oz lo mein or egg noodles
Proteins:
- 1/2 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
Vegetables:
- 1/2 cup carrots, julienned
- 3 green onions, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
Sauce and Seasoning:
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp neutral oil (for stir-frying)
- Cracked black pepper & chili flakes (optional for heat)
Instructions
- Boil Noodles: Cook noodles until tender but still chewy. Drain and set aside.
- Sear Steak: Heat oil in a skillet or wok over high heat. Sear steak cubes until browned and juicy. Set aside.
- Cook Shrimp and Vegetables: In the same pan, add shrimp and carrots. Cook until shrimp are pink and carrots are tender-crisp.
- Combine Ingredients: Return steak to the pan, add garlic and noodles. Pour in soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin, sesame oil, and brown sugar. Toss until hot and glossy.
- Final Touches: Top with green onions and chili flakes if desired.
